1 · Getting started

When you activate, HelloAssist sets up a dedicated business phone number answered 24/7 by your AI receptionist. It greets callers, answers questions, captures the lead, and emails you a summary the moment the call ends.

  1. You pick a plan on the activation page and subscribe.
  2. We provision your number automatically — you'll get a welcome email with it.
  3. You forward your existing line to that number (see below), and you're live.
The one step that matters most: forward your current business number to your new HelloAssist number. You keep advertising the same number you always have — customers never know it changed — and every call is now answered, even when you're on a job.

2 · Your business number

Your welcome email and your dashboard both show your dedicated number. To go live, set your existing line to forward calls to it:

3 · Your dashboard

Sign in anytime at myhelloassist.com/dashboard with your email — we send a 6-digit code, no password to remember. Your dashboard shows:

4 · Calls & leads

After every call, HelloAssist emails you a lead notification — the caller's name, their number, and exactly what they needed — so you can call or text them back before they call the next business.

Everything also lands in your dashboard under Recent calls & leads. Tap Call or Text right from the row to follow up.

5 · Minutes & rollover

Your plan includes a set number of answering minutes each month (a typical call is about a minute and a half). Two things worth knowing:

6 · Buying more minutes

Busy month? Top up in seconds — no plan change required.

  1. Open your dashboard → Plan & minutes.
  2. Under Buy more minutes, choose a 50-minute or 100-minute block.
  3. Pay with PayPal or any debit/credit card. The minutes are added to your balance immediately.

Top-up minutes are priced at your plan's reload rate and they roll over just like your monthly minutes.

Every plan includes a dedicated number, 24/7 answering, spam & robocall screening, call & lead summaries, a chat log, a custom prompt, and priority support. Unused minutes roll over.

8 · Changing your plan

Moved up to busier months, or want to scale back? Switch anytime:

  1. Dashboard → Plan & minutesChange plan.
  2. Choose the plan you want. If you're upgrading, PayPal may ask you to approve the new amount — that's normal.
  3. Your new monthly minute allowance applies going forward. Any minutes you've already banked stay with you.

9 · Cancelling

You can cancel anytime from your dashboard → Plan & minutesCancel subscription. No phone calls, no hoops.

10 · Spanish & languages

Your receptionist is bilingual in English and Spanish. If a caller speaks Spanish — even switching mid-call — it recognizes that and responds in Spanish, then continues in whichever language the caller prefers. More languages are on the way.

11 · FAQ

Do my customers need an app?

No. They just call your number like always. There's nothing for them to download.

What happens if I run out of minutes?

You can buy more anytime, and overflow calls forward to your own phone so a call is never dropped.

Can the AI book appointments?

It captures the request and the details. Live booking into your calendar or software is available as an add-on — ask us.

Will it know it's a sales/robocall?

Yes — it recognizes telemarketers and robocalls, politely declines, and doesn't waste your time with them.

How do I read my leads?

Every call is emailed to you and shown in your dashboard with tap-to-call and tap-to-text.
